I've just joined this forum because I love the venue. I've attended many events there, from opera to dance to silent films with Neil Brand at the piano, jazz breakfasts and was a speaker at International Women's Day 2008.
I have no ideas as to how it can be made financially viable; I leave that to those who know about these things. All I can do is promise my support for any proposal to keep it as a venue for public entertainment.

ST. MARY IN THE CASTLE HAS NOW AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE
The Sonrise Church is vacating St. Mary's in january 2009.
We have set up this Forum to help identify and encourage support as broadly as possible for St. Mary in the Castle.
It is our belief that it is only by The Community coming together searching out what is possible and what is best for Hastings that we can secure the future of St. Mary's (our Albert Hall by the seaside).
